About the Author

My name is Arthur Cofresi.

In Spanish it would sound different. Same guy though. I love writing fiction that challenges me. The “what-if” part of my imagination where human drama finds its way to a resolution that hits home. In so doing, I let my stories take me all over the world and sometimes back to the forgotten past. This is my playground.

I grew up in the Bay Area at a time when everything was happening: Rock & Roll, Civil Strife, Cultural Change, War, and Space Accomplishments. Years later, I told my classmates all I wanted to do was play football.

As a Marine Engineer Apprentice, I travel half the world, held a variety of jobs and met exceptional people along the way. Eventually, I realized that my forte was solving problems and telling stories.

My stories are character-driven, grounded in reality, and shaped by circumstances. They force my characters to respond to pressures, consequences, morality and survival. In this vein, I’ve written two pirate stories, a story about an Amazon Queen, and a Dog Catcher who hates dogs except his own. I’m currently writing a five-novel series about a college graduate who finds employment along the waterfront and is recruited to obtain data for a think tank in South America, Mexico and Africa.

My stories, with the exception of the final book in my series, are complete and required only final editing before publication, so if you are ready for gritty, romantic adventures, then come along, let me take you on a journey…
